The Reserve Men began their season with a narrow 1 point win over neighbours Belnaleck on Sunday, the O’Rahilly’s 2-9 to 0-14 winners.
Having trailed by two at the interval, 0-6 to 0-4 Belcoo hit the net twice in the second half, goals coming from Eoin Corrigan and Dermot Burns while they seen out the fixture despite a late Belnaleck rally. Goalkeeper Gary Doherty was forced into a few smart saves late on.
Next Saturday they travel to Teemore for a 6.30pm throw in.
