Club Notes W/C 5th June 2023

The Senior Men recorded a 2-6 to 0-9 win over Derrylin in the Club Players League on Friday. The result sees them finish 3rd in their group and secure 1 point to carry forward into the main league. They travel to Erne Gaels this Friday at 8pm in a playoff game, the winner will carry 2points into the main league.

The Reserve Men suffered a 6th straight defeat as they went down 5-17 to 4-4 in Ederney last weekend. They host Roslea this weekend, date and time dependant on the Fermanagh Tailteann Cup arrangements which were unknown when going to press.

The Senior Ladies were back in action last Sunday morning and they recorded a 8-18 to 2-2 win over Enniskillen Gaels. They travel to Derrygonnelly A this weekend, check socials for confirmation of date and time.

Our Under 13 Girls lost 14 to 9 to Lisnaskea last week. They hosted Aughadrumsee on Monday, results on our facebook page.

Huge Congratulations to Jack O’Connor who came home from the All Ireland Schools Athletics with 3 Gold medals. 100m, 200m and 4 x 100m Relay. A fabulous achievement. Congratulations also to Rian Kennedy who ran the first leg of the 4 x 100m’s for the winning St. Michaels Relay team. Excellent stuff lads.

Primary School Coaching will continue Friday from 6pm to 7.15pm at the Football Pitch.

Congratulations to St. Columban’s Boys who qualified for the Fermanagh Cumann na mBunscoil Division 3 Final last week. They will meet St. Joseph’s PS, Donagh on 22nd June in Brewster Park. Hard luck to the Girls who just missed out on reaching their Final.

The Club would like to thank Gerry Lilly from Fuels & Lubricants who presented a sponsorship cheque for the youth development and the youth awards night. He was also interviewed by BelcooGAA TV at the weekend. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to Liam Magee who was presented with a special award from Fermanagh Omagh District Council last week at a Chairman’s reception in the Townhall. This was to recognise the fantastic contribution Liam has made to Cumann na mBunscoil at county, provincial & national level over a long number of years.

Club Lotto results on Tuesday 30th May. Letters were G, I, L, V, Z. Lucky Dip £15s went to Frankie Leonard, Michael Burns, North West Windows and Declan Dolan. Lotto Jackpot is now £2,850.

We look forward to welcoming Gambling with Lives on Wednesday 21st June at 6.30pm in LCC for club members, players and community. This was something brought forward at the Open Night a few months back.
